Writing to PocketWord Format

T

Trollpower

Dear NG,

I need to print a document in CF. Therefore i took the SDK from HP (i
think :) ) and was able to print PocketWord-Documents. Now i need to
write these documents on my own from within my CF-Application. So ive
got the idea of writing a html-File and convert it to
PocketWord-Format and then print it.

So the question is, how can i convert HTML-Files to PocketWord-Files?
Alternativly, can anybody tell me how i can produce my own
PocketWord-Files from within my CF-Applications?

Thanks to anyone in advance

Greetings

Currently, there's no native support for wiritng to pocket Word.
www.opennetcf.org was doing some work here ,so you might want to check with
them but I don't think that library is ready yet

In short, there's no Automation library AFAIK for Pocket word, so
automatically converting HTML to it or automating that part of it is
probably not possible (well everything's possible, but not without a huge
amount of work) right now..you may just want to use Sapphire's print
solution http://www.devbuzz.com/content/zinc_ctrl_sapphire_irda_pg1.asp and
use a textbox or similar control.

The reason for me to use PocketWord is, that i need to print Images
also. I dont know how to use Images within an RTF-File and if the
RTF-File can be used in PocketWord either.

I will take a look at the provided links, thanks for that. But an
additional help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Hi Alex:

Thanks for the post. I'm hip to the concept and have used the Opennetcf lib
to start word and pass it a file as a param. I've yet to effectively get
the CF to HTML and vice versa implementation to work but to be honest, I was
thinking in totally different terms here. Thanks for the cool idea!
