Writing Queries with Line Breaks

S

shapper

Hello,

I am using Access 2007 and writing SQL Queries.
I insert some line breaks on my queries to help in visualization.

When I close and the reopen the queries the line breaks are gone and I
get the entire query in one line.

Is it possible to disable this behavior?

I am used to write Queries in SQL Server and this never happens.

Thanks,
Miguel

It is not possible to disable this behavior in the Access query editor, as
far as I know, right out of the box.

In addition you can't add comments to the query either. I keep hoping that
eventually MS will find the time to make Access SQL editor comparable to MS
SQL query editor.

I would love to have the ability to structure the SQL text with indents,
linefeeds, drop the extra parentheses, add comments, etc.

AND I HATE the rearrangement of my queries if I ever switch to the design view.
