Writing files to a DVD

Does XP support writing to DVDs? I can write to a CD with
the XP CD writing wizard, but I want to know if XP has a
patch or something now that supports writing files to a
DVD+/-RW.
 
Windows XP, currently, does not support DVD burning natively. This requires
third party software. There are no patches currently available to enable
this function on XP.
 
you would be much better off investing in good burning software like
NERO....and be done with all the other useless software...
 
you need to have good burning software either nero or roxio and you can write to dvd+rw or -rw or you can format the 4.7 gig cd to enable drag and drop to it also but you do need software as long as you have dvd/rw drive if trying to do it with cd burner it wont work
