writing bat-file with user input

Ok, maybe this is not exactly the right group, but I give it a shot
anyway:
I am trying to write a script wich must run under winxppro and ask the
user for an input: when it is run, it goes something like this

askpass.bat
type the password you like:
koiokloi (the user types this)
the password you typed is koiokloi
