Write R2 then select the 2 with the mouse. Go to Format/Font and
find the "superscript" command.

The keyboard shortcut is CTRL SHIFT +

If you use these features a lot and can't seem to remember the keyboard
shortcuts, try this:

1. Right-click a toolbar area and left-click on "Customize" (at the bottom)
2. Click the "Commands" TAB
3. In the left Category box, find "Format" and click on it to select it.
4. In the right hand box, scroll down until you find the "Superscript" and
"Subscript" commands.
5. Click and drag each one to a location on your toolbar (I put them next to
the "B", "U", "I"). When you get on the toolbar, you will see your cursor
change to a "column", release your mouse.
6. Repeat for the other command.

You will now have them always. All you have to do is to type your "R",
click the "Superscript" icon, type your "2", click the icon again to turn it
off and press "space" to start your next word. Works like a champ!
