I am having a problem writing to a UDF (CDRW) disk. The message I get is this
disk is write protected remove it or get another disk.

I have written to this disk before without problems. I can I write to it
again. HELP!

How and with what software are you trying to write to the disk?

And don't say Windows XP. WinXP can't burn UDF format disks.

If you have Microsoft's default burner (not Roxio), then....
even though you are working with a CDRW, and are able to rewrite existing
files, however you can not erase them off the CDRW. The only way to erase
files is to completely re-format the CDRW. :(
Also, you can't work off the CDRW itself, it will be write-protected. You
can work on your hard-drive and then save the file back to the CDRW. :(
That's the breaks of free software. Roxio doesn't have these problems.
Hope this helped out.
