Yeah, me too. I'd be interested in seeing some of your other poems if it's ok. I might go & dig out some of mine. I don't usually show them to anyone.
Just a short one ...

Once in a lifetime, you love and lost

Once in a lifetime, you breath

Once in a lifetime, you see the sea

Once in a lifetime, you have a dream

Once in a lifetime, the sun goes down

Once in a lifetime, you die.

... sorry but that's me.

Self-contained underwater breathing apparatus
Helps us to maintain our underwater breathing status
Flippers on the bottom and a snorkel on the top
Once we're in the water gonna scuba til we drop

my own "Already Dead"

I am already dead.
Just like everyone on the train
It just keeps moving back and forth
Just like we do
And our eyes look at the pavement
and we set the bums on fire in SF
And we just go to work
And we just pass each other because time is passing too
And we just want to get around each other
Sometimes I move with the flow
Sometimes I slow down
Sometimes I let the city grab me and awallow me whole.
Then I feel dead again... drained.

In a red dress,
A woman dances dreams.

In a red breast,
A dying soldier screams.

In a blue blanket,
A child sleeps and cries.

On a blue ocean,
A child's father dies.

The music plays,
The woman dances still.

Oblivious,
Or act of will?

A child laughs,
The pond an ocean to her boat.

A woman laughs,
Purring, deep in her throat.

A man breaths,
The scent of fresh planed wood.

The summer sun,
Warm on my back as I stood.

And watched afar,
The dance of life and death and dreams.

And listened to the laughter,
The joys, and silent screams.

Still the music plays,
And still the dance goes on.

The dancer weaving dreams,
Our lives provide the song.

Sorry, a bit cliche I know, but I haven't written in a wee while.
