Wow! Vista is incredible!

Wait for the Core 2 Duo. It is just a few weeks away. It runs much cooler
than previous Intel Pentium and Core cpu's and, unlike Core Duo, it is
64bit. I like the AMD64 x2 4400+ but it takes the older memory. It's still
the quickest I have ever had.

Sorry for the late reply, but I've been working out of town
without a laptop. I have everything there but the 600w power
supply. At present I have a Thermaltake 480w ps that seems to
be doing a good job. Otherwise I already have everything in
that list plus some...:)

It's gonna be an expensive trip, what with the new mobo and cpu, but
I like having new toys...LOL I'll use the older box as a test machine
afterwards and I won't have to deal with dual booting...:)

I just installed the recovery console on the XP partition, but in order
for it to work from the Vista boot menu I have to provide Promise
RAID drivers, and so far it won't work at all from the XP boot menu.
Seems a bit odd that there are entries in both boot menus. Should just
be in the XP boot menu that comes up after the Vista one.
