Access denied

New install with vista. 7 Hard drives, c drive with xp on it is sata, 4 on a
pci raid card and 2 on primary ide. Dual boot works well. In vista on drive L
which is run of my raid card works fine. Going into (my) computer i can see
all of my drives. I can only access 3 drives data, c drive (xp) which is
sata, I drive which is ide and L drive which is raid card. All other drives
are just there and when try to open error comes up and says "Location not
available" "?:\ is not accessible." "Access is denied"

This is my 1st time posting anything i hope someone can make sense of this
and lend a helping hand.

have you formated to drives and assigned them a drive letter?

No they are full of data. When xp was installed on the same system
