would peer to peer file sharing be affected by unix server?

If I want to set up file sharing between two XP pro PCs (both are on the
same LAN), would the existense of a unix/sco/linux server (but not a domain
controller) interfere with this in any way? The server is running some
custom accounting app.

Peter,

If your Unix server is running the Browser service, it could be conflicting with
either of the computers running XP, if either is running the Browser.
