Is there a way of inserting number of lines easier than going to Insert on
the Toolbar and clicking on the Insert Lines in the menu several times?

If you mean Insert Rows then you can do the following:

Click the row number(s) to highlight the row(s) you want
to insert

There are a couple ways.

You can add a button to your toolbar
1) Right click on a toolbar and select "customize"
2) "Command" tab, "insert" category
3) Drag the desired button to your toolbar

Another way is by right clicking
1) Select the row you want to insert above
2) Right click on the selected row, and select insert
If you want to add more then one row at a time just select the number of rows before inserting
