worried about new beta google bar

I've read in the MSN group that the new google beta tool bar (which blocks
pop-ups) is problematic for those of us with XP SP1. Has anyone experienced
this and if so, what pop-up blocker would you suggest as an alternative?

Beta programs can be buggy.....suggest you stay with the released version for now.
Windows XP cannot be held responsible for buggy, third-party, beta programs.
