worm nachi.B

I've only had my computer one day and already I got a virus. I have firewall
and updated anti-virus installed (as you helpful folks adviced me on
immediately) and I scanned the system and it found nothing or any virus yet
every few hours I get a notice saying 'a worm/nachi.B was found on my
computer. please run anti-virus to clear virus'. I do as instructed but it
still remains! How do i get rid of it?

Follow the instructions on the link above. Note that Symantec call the same
virus Welchia. You will be instructe to download a removal tool. This will
remove th virus and any of the registry entries it may have added.
