workstations dropping off the domain

Ive got a total of about 250 clients running xp and 2000 pro sp 4 in a lab setting. In one lab in particular, periodically several computers fall off the domain and users are not able to log in. The computers that fall off the domain are randon and the computer account still exists on the domain controller. After deleting the computer account on the DC, I am able to add the workstation back on to the domain and everything is fine....until a week of so later when several will fall off again. This is only happening in one lab and all the others are working fine. I am totally perplexed?? Anyone have any ideas?

thank you!

I have a similar problem. The domain I hang out with consist of 400 win2k
sp3/sp4 , win98 and win Me. The win2k drops out randomly. I have to disjoin
the computer and rejoin it back to the domain.

It happens a few times every month.

This is a bit of a guess, but how is the network setup?

Are all the clients in the same subnet? Do the clients in that lab have DHCP
and others have static addresses? (or vice versa). Is the DHCP and DNS set
up correctly?

What is the error message when you try to log on after it has "fall off"?

THe message states the following: "The system cannot log you on to this doman becasue the systems computer account in its primary domain is missing or the password on that account is incorrect

All are on DHCP and in the same subnet. DNS is set up correctly pointing to our DNS server forwarding all lookups

??
