Hi,

I have a couple of Windows XP SP2 workstations in a Windows 2003 domain,
that are not visible under my network places. I could manually browse to
this workstations by typing the names and am able to ping these workstations
...NetBios over TCP/IP is enabled and WINS and DNS is configured right.

Any help will be much appreciated.

Since it's a domain I'll assume you are using Windows 2000/2003 DNS. Are
there entries in the Forward Lookup Zone for them? And you have DNS pointed
at the DNS server on the LAN, not to the outside world?

You can also try flushing and re-registering the local DNS resolver cache
and see if that helps (ipconfig /flushdns ipconfig/registerdns)

I am running Windows 2003 DNS (AD Integrated). There is an entry in both DNS
and WINS for these workstations with the correct IP.

* DNS is pointed to the local resolver and not to the outside world.
* I have tried IPCONFIG /flushdns & IPCONFIG /registerdns and din't help
* I have also tried nbtstat -RR and didn't help either.

Thanks,
