Not able to join the Domain

Hi
I am trying to join a windows XP workstation to a NT Domain, but after
providing user ID and password, and domain names, I am getting a error
message saying
The user could not be added because the following error has occurred:
The trust relationship between the workstation and the primary domain failed.
I can ping the domain from the workstation, I am using static IP address,
and configured DNS. I am able to ping the gateway, and all the other
workstations in the network.

How can I fix this trust relationship issue? Reilly appreciate your help

Thank You.

You should post Server questions to one of the many Server newsgroups, where
the Server gurus hang out.

Has the domain administrator already created a domain computer account
for the workstation? Is Service Pack 6a installed on the Domain Controller?
