worksheet protectoin

some one pls guide me abt the following

my workbook has 3 sheets and sharing is also enabled along with protection (range defined)

when i unprotect the sheet and try to change the data in the range which i selected earlier,, it says that it cant be done due the sheet is already protected...


why is that?

i've to make the sheet "exclusive" in order to get it done...thanks for ur immediate reply frank..ur always very helpful
