Worksheet function - Language Conversion

sandro

I am having difficulties in Workbooks I receive from
foreign countries that contain formulas in a different
language - Can the formulas automatically be converted to
English?? For example, the XIRR() function comes up as
XINTZINSFUSS() and Excel 2002 does not recognize that.
Any thoughts???

Thanks Ron,

I have all the translations now. The only way to fix it
is if I do a global find and replace. If you know of
another way, please advise. Is there a hotfix file I can
download??

This is a serious limitation for anyone working in a multinational (sorry,
multiregional) environment, because validating a spreadsheet usually takes
longer than developing it.

This doesn't concern only keywords. For example in French the semicolon is
used to separate items, whereas in American it's the comma, which according
to ISO is the decimal separator. It's all very amateurish and MS doesn't
give a damn.

Regards
