new to computers.
how do i transfer data from a cd or floppy to the
computer?
 
Go to local bookstore.

Look for "Computers for Dummies" or similar.

Buy book.

Read book.
 
Open Windows Explorer, expand the floppy or CD drive and r-click drag the
file to wherever you want. When you release the mouse button, you will be
given a choice to copy or move. There are other ways but, this one will get
you going.
