Working with CD Player with copied files

I copied songs from CD to D drive of my system.
When I select a file and opens with CD Player,It is giving
message "Insert CD".How can we work with CD Player with
copied files.CD Player is working fine.Please Help me.

All u did was copy a shortcut to the .cda file. these
files contain NO audio. u will need to use a program such
as Windows Media Player 9 and "Rip" the music off the CD.
You just need to goto "Copy From CD"
