Working with Access 2000 and pictures

Anyone know if there's a way to embed a picture into
Access? I'm currently messing with the OLE Object
type to paste the image, and Access displays the word
Picture, so I believe the image is saved properly.

When I double-click on the item, it presents the following
message:

The Picture object doesn't support the attempted operation.
The OLE object was changed to a picture, or the link to
the object was broken.
If you want to perform the operation, delete the OLE
object, and then embed or link it again.

I followed it's instructions, tried the Paste Special, it
automatically selected Device Independent Bitmap,
and again displayed the word, Picture.

So I believe it's all correct and my question really is...

Is there a way to configure Access to use a specific
program to view the picture, since Access seems to
have a problem displaying a picture and doesn't seem
to default to MSPaint to view the item?

I'm working in table view currently while setting up the
tables.

Thanks for any help.

Let me change my question...

The original image was a jpg photo copied to the
clipboard and pasted in. I tried three methods of
paste...

1) right-clicked inside the table, in the field with the
OLE Object and clicked paste, while the image was
copied from MSPAINT in the Windows clipboard.
The word "Picture" appeared in the field and trying
double-clicks end up displaying the message:

ACCESS ERROR MESSAGE
The Picture object doesn't support the attempted operation.
The OLE object was changed to a picture, or the link to
the object was broken.
If you want to perform the operation, delete the OLE
object, and then embed or link it again.

2) I clicked upon Edit, Paste Special... and there were
two options...

a) Device Independent Bitmap
b) Bitmap

I tried the Device Independent Bitmap and the same thing
as 1) happened. The word "Picture" put itself in the field.
Double-clicking resulted in the same Access Error Message
presented itself.

QUESTION:
My question here, anyone have a link to explain how to
use a Device Independent Bitmap inside of Access?

I tried Pasting Special... as Bitmap as well. Same thing
applies.

3) Now I ran into a third option...
I tried the Insert Object option, selected Bitmap Image
from the list of Objects. This works. MsPaint opens
the image. But I'm getting an odd feeling that the image
is actually saved as a bitmap with same filesize as the
bitmap... so I'm looking for a JPG Object...

QUESTION #2
Anyone have an idea on how to set up a JPG Object ?
I bet it's gonna require messing with some things in the
registry to get it configured. Any tips tricks or links are
greatly appreciated.

Thanks.
