I have two computers (and XP Home and an XP Professional) that are in a
workgroup together, and I'd like to remove them both from it. How do I
do this? I know I can change the name of the workgroup, but I just want
it gone completely.

Change one of the workstations workgroup name, that should stop workgroup
sharing, etc unless you want to unplug the network cable. :P

This is incorrect. Windows machines do not need to be in the same
Workgroup to share files/printers. Workgroup names are just a cosmetic
and organizational device.

If the OP no longer wants to share files, then s/he should uncheck File
& Printer Sharing in the Windows Firewall and unshare any previously
shared resources on each computer.
