Workgroup to Domain

I have recently upgraded my network from a workgroup to a domain. The user
accounts I have created in Active Directory can now only access documents and
folders on their local machines as "Read Only".
Any advise would be appreciated.
Thank you.

Earlier you were logging on to computers using a Local user which have
Different SID and now you r logging on using Active Directory user. If the
local users had created some files and has ownership of files then obviously
you wont have access or will have limited access. You need to logon to the
machine with Admin rights and change the security settings to give Domain
Users proper rights. Just check and let me know.

In addition to the other reply - move any company data to the server. Don't
store any data on workstations....that's what your server is for. Using
roaming profiles & folder redirection, workstations can become pretty
interchangeable, which is a good thing on a network - and is yet another
reason to use next-to-identical hardware & software builds and lock
everything down tight so users cannot install/modify anything.
