workgroup information file

After creating a database I wanted to allow various users
to work with it. I would like to do this, on the way that
everybody has got his own account and password to log in.
I created a new workgroup information file and saved it on
a network drive, but whenever I try to open the database
from a different location then mine, access is not asking
for a username or password!
Why?

I hope someone can help me!
Thanks,
Lars

Hi Lars

Because the Admin user and the Users group are the same in every workgroup
file, you *must* remove permissions from both of them, otherwise your
database will be wide open.

Have you read the Access Security FAQ? If not, then I *strongly* recommend
you download it from: http://support.microsoft.com/?id=207793
