I have a 3 computer workgroup consisting of two desktops and one laptop. The
laptop, running WinMedia Center, and one desktop connect via a 802.11g
wireless network. The other desktop uses a Cat5E cable to one of the ports on
the D-link DI-524. The laptop is running McAfee Security Center 7. All three
machines have Auto Update active.
When I recently tried to access the laptop from the wired desktop, WinXP
popped up a password window to access the laptop. I can't find anywhere on
the laptop, either in WinMC or McAfee where I set up a password. I had not
set up password access for any of the PCs when I created the workgroup. The
network itself is protected.
Suggestions?
