Ok, boring, but what the hell, this is what I typically do to make money and what I did yesterday.

SE London secondary school, fire alarm drill, school assembled in playground.

Headmistress attempts to adress 1200 pupils with megaphone. Megaphone doesn't get her message across.

Solution: Call the floppy one :)

Two 30 watt Bosch horn speakers installed overlooking playground area, 60 watt 100 volt line amp and diversity wireless microphone installed to first floor office.

Now the headmistress can even talk to MacDonalds on the Yorkshire Grey roundabout on nearby South Circular Road, lol.

I put in the end two speakers yesterday, the central speaker I installed about 4 years ago, that's just so the kids can hear class change pips in the playground.

I worked 10am to 3pm, up and down that ladder like a yoyo on steroids. That's my new rather boring car. I am getting old, must confess, in the evening I was tired :(

Still, nice profit margin on this one, about three hours planning and purchasing, 5 hours on site, 1 hour travel = 9 hours total for ???? ;)

It's all groovy :) In the morning, going to another Greenwich secondary school to fix their microphone.

It's what I'm good at I suppose.

What do you do? Pix?

Nice job I see you used a level somewhere or another.

Or should I say good eye sight for an old man?

Looks like something out of the series Lost...

Hello,

Well you gots to do what you are good at.

Me i am a Security Consultant/Contingency Manager, i work for a large Canadian Company that has Offices around the World, basically i plan where our operatives are going and keep track of whos where and so on.

The only good bit is that because of my previous Military experience (two tours of Iraq, one of Afghanistan) i get to go to Arms Fairs and test new kit and see what our Guys want to use, but only when the Operations Manager isn't about.

Pictures would just be of our office but i am due to go to the USA (Las Vegas) in Feb to test some new goodies and maybe purchase some, but again only if the Operations Manager isn't back from Iraq.

Is a fairly decent job, i get a Company Car but sometimes it can be really boring, i doubt i will do it for much longer.

An astute observation sir.

Actually, I forgot to pack the spirit level on Saturday morning

What you see is a combined result of measuring down from the window ledges and my eye. Not perfect, but good enough ;)

Tidy job there Flops  How did you end up specialising this, sound like you've had a good variety of jobs over the years (like the pipe x-ray one)!

It sounds exciting W_F, but I guess it's one of those things that sounds more action packed than it actually is! Do you know what you'll do next? If you like testing out kit you could try procurement for the MOD?

Looks like a grand job flops.

A picture of you up the ladder working would have been fab.

Mind you at your age I guess you would need more than the ten second delay that most cameras have to get up the ladder :p

WF These days any job is a good one specialy if you have family to support.

Look at the facia board and then at the conduet...They both have a slight curve to them...I'd say it has to do with the angle that the pic is taken at etc.......:p

Nice work though Flopps

Gordon Bennet

This is what psd99 posted, which you quoted and which I took as a compliment:

Now, maybe it's me, but I'd say psd99 paid me a compliment whilst you were not.

I did say it wasn't perfect but it's quite good enough for a SE London secondary school.

Perhaps I'm going loopy, dunno...
