After upgrading to XP, Windows won't read data from
WordPerfect9 from CD or floppy. All other floppy discs
and CDs are fine. Data was written using Windows ME.
System says floppy discs are not formatted and CDs get no
message or activity. Tried to reload WP9 but XP won't
let the application complete loading, WHASSUP!!??

Can you copy the files from Cd or floppy to your hard disk?
I seem to recall XP having problems with 720K floppies...

Is WP9 properly installed?
I use WP9 with XP without any problems.
