WordPad

Hi-Simple question but I can't find the answer in notepad's help section. I
keep pers. data, credit card #s, phone #s, etc. in notepad in My Docs.
Listed numerically. When I add an entry it now, as opposed to the past,
double or triple spaces between lines. It is annoying & takes up space. How
do I revert to single line spacing?
Thanks

I'm sorry Don. I see that I used both program names in my question. I'm
using WordPad which I think XP assigned to me automatically for what I was
doing.
Is Notepad + easy to set-up & use? I'm a dork at such things, which is
why I joined this group, Thanks

WordPad is a word processor and Notepad and Notepad+ are text editors. It
depends what you want to do in the creation of a document. Just try and see
what satisfies your needs.

Notepad+ is easy to install, just double click on the file and it installs.

Hi Don, Hi Alan:

2 cents worth: For me, Notepad (the text editor) is king (though I will
certainly try the Notepad+). It is easy to learn and has ZERO glitches such
as the one you describe because it does nothing!! No "hidden" formatting, no
nothing-- just put in your text and "What You See Is What You Get"!! But it
does this nothing very very well, starts in the blink of an eye when called
for and takes up very little space on the hard drive or in RAM.

If you later need to add formatting, it will drop perfectly into your email,
WordPAD or MS WORD or any other word processor that I ever heard of. With a
little practice you can pre-create databases (such as your list of numbers)
or spreadsheets that can be dropped into other programs as well.

Que tengan un super dia!
