WordPad font preference question

Hi guys. Recently upgraded to XP Home.

Don't suppose, though, that even in XP it is possible to open WordPad
with a different font (e.g., Verdana) than the present Arial that
invariably is offered first?

I use WordPad half a dozen times a day. Each time I open it I have to
scroll down to (my favourite) Verdana font and enter that before I proceed.

Thanks, John. I have ended up, for now, trying out a word-processing
tool called Jarte in place of WordPad. Jarte allows you to nominate
particular fonts as favourites which then open at the head of the
program's font list.
