wordconnect: photo does not open when I open a word doc w/ photo

Whenenver I open a Word doc containing a photo, the photo does not show.
Sometimes when I click on the photo spot or go to Print Preview, I can then
see it. But sometimes I get an error message having to do with"Wordconnect."
