I have 2 days to get a grant application in and my
Microsoft Word is acting weird. HELP!!

Page set up will not take my margin settings or let me
reset default settings. Message is something like if I
increase right margin, last section of unevenly spaced
columns will not show on document. But I'm not asking
for columns!! Also, when "center" icon is clicked, it
isn't really in the center - too far to the left.

I have been deleting temporary files and cookies to make
sure I have enough memory to run AOL features. Did I do
this? How can I fix it??

You could try reinstalling Word, and reinstalling your printer driver.

While this is not the Word newsgroup try this. Close Word program. Click
Start, Search, For Files or Folders. When the window opens type in
NORMAL.DOT. Windows will find one or more copies of the Normal.Dot template
for Word. Delete all copies of the template. When you start Word the next
time it will recreate the Normal.dot template.

Once in a while this template will become corrupted and will really make you
think you are going crazy when you try to edit in Word, causing some of the
problems you describe.

Actually, it would be safer to simply rename the template to something
like oldnormal.dot rather than deleting it.

Ok, but you would then have a dead, useless file left on the hard drive. If
it is needed quickly, it could be recovered from the recycle bin.
