Word XP macro for Word 97

Hello,

I am using Word XP and have a macro that runs fine in Word XP. I want to
find out if the macro can run in Word 97 as well. One way of course is to
run it in the Word 97 environment which, alas, is a bit hard to find these
days (in my case anyway).

Do I need to install Word 97 in my computer too? Or will "Disabling features
not supported after Word 97" (Tools | Options | Save tab) help in the case
of macros? Suggestions are most welcome!

If you copy and post the code of the macro into a message that you post to
the microsoft.public.word.word97vba newsgroup or
microsoft.public.word.vba.general, there's a good chance that someone who
is still running Word 97 will see it and can try it for you, or that someone
with the necessary knowledge will be able to tell you if you are likely to
run into any problems.

I don't believe that disabling features as you mention will help in this
case.

Hope this helps
