Word 97 and XP on same machine

Hello,

Is it advisable to install Word 97 and XP on same machine?

(I am thinking about installing Word 97 to test out a few macros developed
in Word XP, then uninstalling Word 97 afterwards.)

Word 97 works great for me.
XP does not include word so what is the problem?

It is possible (see Garfield's reply) but your question was is it
advisable - and for that I would have to say not under the same operating
system, as there will be some inevitable cross contamination between the
two.

Unless you are providing support for both, there is no need for the
duplication.
