Hi there, I can't seem to find a solution to this one via Google no matter
how I phrase it so I thought I'd see if anyone here knew this one.

I have a network stored Word (Office XP version) that every time it's opened
on a machine that has Word 2003 all the text shifts for the whole document
shifts off center to the left and the text all gets smaller.

You'd think "oh just change the font size and it will all go back" but
noooooo.

So I went to MS and downloaded all the updates for MS Office 2003 and update
it, reboot. Still having the issue when I open the document.

Even when you change the font and the text size the document is still
centered but the text is all off center on the page.

Anyone familiar with this and the solution?

Graham,

Actually I figured it out now, the Markup was on and apparently when whoever
was using the Markup feature saved it to the network share they did not save
the un-markuped version back to the share.

Thanks though.

Guess I should leave a better solution description in the event this is ever
found in a search.

The Markup copy of the document was saved to the network share.

Go to the "View" drop down menu,
Click (Uncheck) Markup

Then unless you want to do this everytime resave the document to the network
share.

Changing the view does not remove the markup, and Word will always display
the markup when you open or save the document. If you want to remove the
markup entirely, you must Accept All Changes in Document and Delete All
Comments in Document.
