Word wont print first 2-pages ??

We are printing a booklet...
The Pages are 5.5x8.5
We are printing on 8.5x11 paper - pages per side, double sided

The first few pages of the booklet are a section... Section 1.

For some reason the first 2 5.5x8.5 pages will not print.

The printer does not leave a blank page... it just starts the booklet on
page 3... no matter what we do.

Putting the range in as 1-300 still does not fix it even though print
preview looks fine.

Putting range in as... p1s1-p300s10 does work.

BUT... why is it doing this

(Section 1 is longer than 2 pages)

thanks for any help.

PS - this happens no matter weather we print to our HP 4000 laser or print
to PDF.

Suggest trying with the number of pages set to x/8.

The number of pages need only be a multiple of 4, which 300 is.
