Word Window Size

I use Word 2003. Today, for no apparent reason, when I maximize the window
there is a gap between the top of it and the viewable screen area of about a
half inch. And, what's worse, the horizontal scroll bar and status bar are
not visible unless I restore the window to make it smaller that the viewable
area. Any idea on how to fix this? Thanks,

I am having the same problem. When maximized, the window doesn't go al the way to the top. There is a gap that is can be as small as a half an inch all the way up to three inches from the top of the screen. While other times it fills the whole screen

Did you ever find a solution to this? Does anyone else have a solution?
