word will not start

I have MS Office 2000 installed and have not had any problems until about two
weeks ago. Word will not open at all. When attempting to open I get a
message saying it encountered an error and must close. This happens
everytime. All other Office programs work fine. I tried repairing it with
the original disk and even uninstalling it and reinstalling it. Nothing
works. Please help. Thank you in advance for your help.
