WORD VIEW PROBLEM

After several years of good service, my "view" of word documents
has changed to something like hyperlink, putting everything to left
side, and filling page after page with program-like wording.
Tools/Options/Customize advice from "Help" doesnt affect anything.
Any ideas, anyone?

It sounds like you may have opened the document in the "Recover Text from
Any File" mode. See http://www.word.mvps.org/FAQs/AppErrors/RecoverText.htm.
