Word tools, format menu incorrectly showing Asian/Japaanese opt

Format menu is incorrectly showing an option for Asian layout. Tools menu,
language is showing an option for Japanese consitancy checker. Tools
language is correctly showing English U.S. Have tried setting default
language back, but still get this Asian layout. How do I restore the layout?

Office Tools, and then click Microsoft Office XP Language Settings. "

I don't have this option; under Microsoft Office Tools, I only have
"Activate product" and "Microsoft Office Application Recovery".
