Word 2007, download the Microsoft add-in for PDF.

Any previous, I use the free PrimoPDF program (Google search). It, like
most others, are printer driver types of programs that take the printed
output and create a PDF file from it.

More best is fixing your ****ing clock on your PC. If you don't fix your
clock, then no sex for you tonight. It will be solo again in the garage!

The problem with Adobe Acrobat is that it is not free.
I have Adobe Acrobat Reader 9.0 installed which is
the latest version and when I use it to open a .doc
or a .docx file it displays a dialog box with the
error message:

Adobe Reader could not open 'Foo.doc' because it is either
not a supported file type or because the file has been damaged
(for example, it was sent as an email attachment and wasn't
correctly decoded).

I will try the other solutions including CutePDF and the
plugin for Microsoft Word 2007.

Thanks,

John Goche

Well of course it would. Why would you expect Adobe to open a WORD document?
Would you expect Outlook to open a pdf file?

There's also PDF995. Works for free but pops an advert at the end of
the process for itself. If you pay $9.95 it shuts it off.
