Word template

I have created a document template in Word 2003 that contains a custom
header. When I open the template I am not able to see the header in normal
or print layout view without going to view Header and Footer. What setting
do I check to?

Thanks,
Aaron Neunz

First, you should not be opening the template to use it. You should be
creating a new document based on the template. See
http://addbalance.com/usersguide/templates.htm.

This is a new "feature" in Word 2003. It is called hiding white space (and
also hiding headers and footers in print view). You never see headers or
footers in normal view.

Tools > Options > View > Print and Web Layout Options
Check "White space between pages (Print view only)
