Word start up

Recently I have changed my computer, however when i load
the office software into the new computer. I could not
register and run the word software with the product key
that print on the back side of the disc. It said the key
is not correct. Do anybody know why.
 
Did the Office software come with your old computer? If so, it is an OEM
version and isn't licensed for any machine except the one on which it came
installed.

I RESTORED MY SYSTEM AND AM HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM WITH THE ORGINAL COMPUTER AND THE ORGINAL SOFTWARE BUT SOMEHOW LOST THE NUMBERS. DOES ANYONE KNOW HOW I CAN RE-REGISTER MY WORD2000? I DID ORGINALLY REGISTER IT. ANY HELP WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED. IF I FIND OUT ANYTHING I WILL VOLUNTEER ANY HELP TOO! THANKS
