Cant type in Word

Hi everyone,

Just recently i found out that i could no longer type anything in word. I
have tryed to reset my computer and to try almost every key combination
available to no avail. I am having trouble entering my product key for word,
but on the flip side word came pre-installed on my Compaq Presario C700. I
was just wondering if anyone could please help me!!!!
