Word should have a style checker.

In Microsoft Word, there is a Spell Checker, and a Grammar Checker. I
propose that a Style/Format checker should be added. This would check your
paper for correct style/formatting. There would be several formats included,
such as Turabian, APA, MLA, and so forth, and to use the checker, you would
be required to input which style you were using. The checker would check for
such things as proper use of footnotes and references, proper placeage of
punctuation, and the like.

G'day "Matt" <[email protected]>,

Word 2003 has a much nicer set of features, and it is only going to
get better! We have the Styles and Formatting Task Pane which makes
reformatting documents a LOT quicker and easier. The BEST feature
though is you can restrict users to only editing using the provided
styles!!! YEEEEHHHAAAAARRRR!!!! We Won!!!
