Word quits when i select file-->print

I am using Word for Mac on my macbook. I tried to print a document, but when
i selected file-->print, the Word application quit. I got it to print by
simply clicking the printer icon, but i need to print multiple copies of
documents and the file-->print option is the easiest way to do this. Any
suggestions as to why the program is quitting? I just re-installed it on the
computer because my hard drive crashed and was replaced. could this have
something to do with it?

thank you, I figured out the problem. It was actually a problem with the
printer...but thank you for your help.
