Word opening too slow

To open word it takes about 4 minutes and then the same for each document I
open.

Please help!
 
Almost certainly a network issue - and not always easy to resolve. Do you
have any (possibly non-existent) network locations specified under Tools >
Options > File Locations?
 
You seem to have forgotten to tell me - or did you use lemon juice and now
I'm supposed to wave your post over a candle?

I have the same problem and I'm not on a network - just on my home computer.

Running word XP.

???
