Word - MS Office 2000

Entering test into a new document if enter key is used the next line shows
new lines many lines below last test entered. If Shift+Enter is used next
line is below last text enter. How do I change keyboard setup so enter key
will only drop one line.

More than likely, Kevin, it's NOT your keyboard - it's your paragraph
formatting. It sounds like you've formatted your paragraph with either
spacing after or more than single line spacing. I'd check that first. You
might want to turn on Tools>>Options, View tab, Formatting Marks, check All,
and see if you are actually getting extra paragraph marks, or just
extra-wide paragraphs.

In Word, click on File | Page Setup | Layout tab | Vertical
alignment: Top | Default | Yes | OK.

On the Layout tab of Page Setup, make sure the vertical alignment is set to
Top and not Justified.
