Word letters type vertically

This is weird since I have used Word 2007 for a year. When I tyoe the letters
go vertically not across the page horiz. How do I change this?

Yes, that is waht it looks like and I'm not using a table. I can open a blank
doc. and the letters go vertically. As I wrote it is wierd.

I don't have access to Word 2007 at this moment. I will check it a little
later today but maybe in the meanwhile someone else will pop in with some
help.

Try renaming normal.docx to normal.old and let Word rebuild another normal
file.

JoAnn,
That seemed to work but I had to move the tab marker all the way to the left
margin ad named it new.docx. Why this happened I don't know. I haven't done
anything to Office 2007 and have used it for almost 1 year. There must be a
bug in the template.

If I could only answer *why* some things happen, I'd be a much richer woman.
Sometimes we just have to shrug our shoulders and move on. Or you can blame
it on your kids/cat/roommate/etc. ;-)
