I have several workstations running MS Word 2003. When the users clicks on
the Insert menu she sees break, age numbers etc. down to picture and then
about 100 blank lines before she sees the next item in the menu which is
file. Does anyone know how to get rid of all the blank lins so the menu is
not as long as a street?

You can open Tools | Customize and drag all these "blank" menu entries off
the menu, but I imagine they will keep coming back because most likely you
have a poorly written add-in that is running every time you start Word and
adding an Insert menu item. See
http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/Customization/CheckIfAddinsInstalled.htm for help
with figuring out which add-in might be doing this.

Thank you - I was able to remove the blank lines and will review the material
you included to see if I can make it permanent. I appreciate your help.
