word file attachment - unwanted zipping

attached word document shows as word before sending but is
automatically zipped as sent. how do i disable automatic
zipping of outgoing file attachments?

Do you have Quick View Plus on this machine? If yes, turn off the automatic
zipping from within that program.

i do not have quick view. more data: the problem does not
occur with aol attachments. also i can't associate it with
any system changes since i have successfully sent
nonzipped outlook attachments and have been able to
selectively zip and unzip only the files i have chosen.

fixed own problem. found (previously undetected) pkzip
icon in W2000 task bar/sys tray that was enabled
for "Compress Outlook 2000 Attachments". I rt clicked to
disable and remove.
